LINCOLN, Neb. – Nebraska Wesleyan faced an old conference foe and earned a shutout victory as the Prairie Wolves blanked College of Saint Mary 2-0 in women's soccer action on Tuesday night (Sept. 20) at Abel Stadium.
The Prairie Wolves move to 4-5 as they complete the non-conference portion of the schedule. NWU will now move into Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play on Saturday when they host Loras College in the homecoming match.
NWU wasted little time getting on the scoreboard in the match.
Kaitlyn Sullivan took advantage of a Flames foul and converted a penalty kick in the 4
th minute to put the Prairie Wolves up 1-0 at the 4:05 mark.
Carah Criner added to the Prairie Wolves total with a goal at the 10:09 mark as NWU got ahead 2-0. The match looked like it would be a high scoring affair as the Prairie Wolves had two goals in the first ten minutes. However, NWU would not score again making the final total 2-0.

Madi Francis recorded another shutout victory in goal for the Prairie Wolves as she got three saves.
Nebraska Wesleyan finished the match with 10 total shots in the match, compared to only four for the Flames.
