LINCOLN -- A pair of teams with the same nickname played to a 0-0 draw when the Nebraska Wesleyan and Cardinal Stritch men's soccer teams met on Sunday afternoon (Sept. 11) at Abel Stadium in Lincoln, Neb.
The NWU Prairie Wolves move to 2-0-2 on the 2016 season with the Cardinal Stritch Wolves going to 1-2-2.
Neither team was able to find the open net during the 90 minutes of regulation so the match went to overtime. The first overtime period went without a team attempting a shot, and both teams were shutout in overtime number two as they played to a draw.
NWU goalkeeper
Jack Nespor recorded a save for the Prairie Wolves as he posted his second shutout of the week.
In a very competitive match with evenly matched opponents, CSU ended the match with eight shots and NWU attempted five.
Nebraska Wesleyan has ended two of their first four matches in a draw, but the Prairie Wolves also remain unbeaten in 2016.
