CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The Nebraska Wesleyan University volleyball team will be the No. 4 seed in the 2016 IIAC Postseason Volleyball Tournament this weekend (Nov. 4-5) at the U.S. Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.Â
NWU will face the No. 5 seed, Central College, in the opening round of the tournament. The Prairie Wolves and Dutch will meet on Friday, Nov. 4 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa at 4:30 pm.

The winner of the NWU-Central match will face the No. 1 seed Wartburg College later that night at 7:30 pm in the U.S. Cellular Center. Wartburg received a first round by to advance to the semifinals, as did the No. 2 seed Luther College. The Championship match of the six-team tournament is set for Saturday (Nov. 5) at 3 pm.

An automatic bid to the NCAA III National Tournament is on the line as the winner of the IIAC Tournament receives the conference's automatic berth.

Nebraska Wesleyan defeated Central, 3-2, in the first meeting between the two teams on Sept. 20 in Pella, Iowa.

This marks the first time that Nebraska Wesleyan has participated in a conference tournament since the 1994 season.
