LINCOLN, Neb. – Wednesday night's Iowa Conference men's soccer match between Nebraska Wesleyan and Simpson was a tale of two halves with the Storm taking over in the second half to earn a 4-1 victory over the Prairie Wolves.
NWU led 1-0 at intermission, but Simpson scored four straight goals in the final 45 minutes to earn the victory and secure their spot in the IIAC Postseason Tournament. Unfortunately for the Prairie Wolves, the loss eliminated them from postseason play.
In the first half, it was Nebraska Wesleyan that was on the attack as they controlled the match. The Prairie Wolves had 11 total shot attempts in the half, and finally cracked the scoring column in the 38

Coming out in the second half, it was the Storm that took on the role as the aggressive squad. Just over one minute into the half, Darius Doswell tied the match with a goal. Simpson took the lead in the 57
th minute as Tanner Anderson scored to make the score 2-1.

NWU falls to 6-6-3 overall as they dropped their third straight match. The 2-5 IIAC record also will keep the Prairie Wolves out of the six-team postseason tournament as the six spots were clinched last night.
