OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Nebraska Wesleyan University senior guard
Trey Bardsley has been awarded the Association of Division III Independents (AD3I) men's basketball Player-of-the-Week honor for games played Nov. 9-15.

Bardsley (Beatrice, Neb.) started his 2015-16 season on a high note, averaging 26.0 points per game as the Prairie Wolves went 1-1 to open up the year. The senior scored a game-high 37 points in a comeback win over Buena Vista on Sunday afternoon. He scored 29 of his points in the second half, including six straight points with less than 1:30 to play to give Nebraska Wesleyan the lead.

He tied his career-high with seven 3-pointers going 7-10 from downtown and converting 6-7 from the free throw line. He also led the team with five assists in the win over last season's IIAC regular season champion.

The Beatrice H.S., graduate was the AD3I men's basketball player of the week three different times in 2014-15 and was the AD3I Player-of-the-Year.

Nebraska Wesleyan takes on Grace University on Wednesday night (Nov. 18) in Omaha, Nebraska then has their home opener on Saturday (Nov. 21) as they begin GPAC play by hosting Dakota Wesleyan University.
