LINCOLN, Neb. -- The Nebraska Wesleyan University football team will travel to Mitchell, S.D., Saturday (Oct. 31) to face Great Plains Athletic Conference opponent Dakota Wesleyan University. Kickoff between the Prairie Wolves and the Tigers is set for 1 p.m., at Joe Quintal Field.
Nebraska Wesleyan is coming off a bye week with a 3-4 overall record, and a 2-4 record in conference play. NWU defeated Dordt 27-14 on Oct. 17 in their last game.
Dakota Wesleyan, ranked #19 in this week's NAIA Top 25 poll, is 6-2 on the season and 4-2 in GPAC. DWU upset #15 Northwestern 27-17 last Saturday in Orange City.
This is the final road trip of the year for Nebraska Wesleyan and they are headed to a place that has not been kind to the Prairie Wolves. NWU has not won in Mitchell, S.D, since the 2007 season dropping three in a row to the Tigers on their home field.
DWU is trying to add to their win total and keep their chances of the NAIA Playoffs alive.
Saturday's game can be heard live on KFOR 1240AM or 103.3FM with Dick Janda calling the action. It can also be heard online at kfornow.com.
