Box Score SIOUX CENTER, Iowa -- After winning their first ten matches of the season, the Nebraska Wesleyan volleyball team has now dropped two straight matches as they went on the road and were swept 3-0 by Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa.
The Defenders, ranked No. 13 in this week's NAIA Poll, defeated NWU in scores of 25-19, 25-21, 25-16. The Prairie Wolves first loss this week came against the No. 10 ranked team in the NAIA, Midland University.
Nebraska Wesleyan hit just .096 as a team as they had 19 attack errors, eight service errors and four reception errors in the match. The Prairie Wolves were not on their top level performing level, and the Defenders made them pay on their home court.
Dordt had 39 total kills on the night and hit .319 as a team with seven total blocks at the net as they made quick work of the Prairie Wolves.
Katelyn Walsh led Nebraska Wesleyan with 10 kills as the lone NWU player in double figures in kills.
Alexa Rosenau had six kills, 12 assists and six digs, while
Alyssa Stanek had five kills and three blocks.
NWU does not have time to think about their loss as they will be right back in action on Saturday afternoon when they face Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, Iowa.
