LINCOLN, Neb. -- Nebraska Wesleyan will play its third nationally-ranked opponent in the first four games as the Prairie Wolves host No. 16 Northwestern College in GPAC Football action on Saturday (Sept. 27) at Abel Stadium in Lincoln.
The Prairie Wolves (1-2, 1-1 GPAC) and the Red Raiders (2-1, 2-0 GPAC) will kickoff on Saturday at 1 p.m.
NWU will look to carry over momentum from their first win of the game last Saturday night at Briar Cliff. The Prairie Wolves scored 21 fourth quarter points to overcome a three-point deficit to defeat the Chargers 38-28 at the Dakota Dome.
Northwestern climbed up to No. 16 in this week's NAIA Top 25 poll as they went on the road and defeated then No. 15 Dakota Wesleyan 35-7 on the road in Mitchell, S.D. The Red Raiders are one of only two teams that don't have a conference loss after just two weeks of GPAC play.
