Hastings, Neb. -- Hastings College remained unbeaten in Great Plains Athletic Conference play as the Broncos shutout Nebraska Wesleyan University 2-0 in women's soccer action on Tuesday night (Oct. 7) in Hastings, Neb.
The Broncos, ranked No. 25 in the NAIA Top 25, moved to 9-2-1 overall and 5-0 in GPAC play, while the Prairie Wolves fall to 7-4-1.
Hastings got on the board very early in the match as Taylor Geis scored in the fourth minute of the match on an assist from Kelsey Nealon. The Broncos then scored right before intermission as Taylor Benark used an assist from Megan Kruse for a goal in the 43rd minute making the score 2-0 at halftime.
In the second half, the two teams played even soccer as neither team was able to get on the scoreboard. NWU attempted three shots in the second half with Hastings taking five shots in the half. Nebraska Wesleyan finished the match with six total shots, four shots on goal.
