Box Score Hastings College ended Nebraska Wesleyan's undefeated season as the Broncos defeated the Prairie Wolves, 3-0, in NWU's home opener on Tuesday (Sept. 17) night at Snyder Arena in Lincoln.The Broncos (11-3, 2-0 GPAC) controlled the net recording 13 total blocks on the night with 33 kills. NWU hit just .037 as a team, with a negative hitting percentage in two of the three sets.Hastings never trailed in the first set going ahead 2-1 and never looking back. They went on a 6-0 run with the score at 8-7 and rolled from there.Set two was much more competitive as it was tited at 17-17 after a Bronco error. Hastings then reeled off three straight points and the Prairie Wolves could not recover.In the final set, NWU tried to gain some momentum early as they traded punches with the Broncos to a 7-7 tie. Hastings then went on a 12-2 run and took the steam out of the Prairie Wolves.Kalynn Dahlke led the Broncos with 14 kills and 12 digs, with Chandelle Davidson handing out 28 assists.For NWU, Katelyn Walsh led the way with nine kills. Mackenzie Hite recorded 17 digs in the match.
