Box Score 12th-ranked Briar Cliff defeated Nebraska Wesleyan 84-53 in the Great Plains Athletic Conference women's basketball opener for the Prairie Wolves at Snyder Arena in Lincoln, Neb.

The Chargers jumped out to a 13-0 lead, not allowing NWU to get on the board until the 14:37 mark.. However, the Prairie Wolves fought back and stayed within single digits halfway through the first half. BCU then went on a 18-4 run to get a double digit lead and hold a 48-30 lead at halftime.
NWU struggled to start the second half as BCU opened the half on a 14-4 run to pull away for good.
Nebraska Wesleyan shot just 23.5 percent from the field, but hit 27-34 at the free throw line. The Prairie Wolves were also hampered by 36 turnovers against the BCU full court press.
Felicia TeKolste continued her solid play by leading the Prairie Wolves in scoring with 19 points, hitting 10-13 at the free throw line. She was the lone NWU player in double figures.
Slone Masters scored 16 points to lead Briar Cliff.
