Box Score Nebraska Wesleyan extended their GPAC winning streak to four victories as the Prairie Wolves swept past rival Doane College, 3-0 in front of an enthusiastic crowd on Wednesday (Oct. 9) at Snyder Arena. The Prairie Wolves won in scores of 25-22, 25-18, 25-18.
With the win, NWU has now won two of the last three matches against Doane after the Tigers had reeled off 20 straight over the Wolves. NWU is now 16-4 overall and 6-2 in the GPAC, while Doane falls two games below .500 at 9-11, 3-5 GPAC.

The match looked very even in the first set as neither team could build up a lead of over two points. NWU led 21-20, then got two straight kills to go up 23-20 and they would end the set with a kill by
Katelyn Walsh.

In the second set, the Prairie Wolves had command the entire way as Doane had just eight kills in the set, while NWU had 14 with a .344 hitting percentage.

Doane took control early in the third set taking a 4-0 advantage to start the set. NWU chipped away and finally tied the set at 8-8. A Walsh kill gave the Prairie Wolves a 14-13 lead and they would cruise from their outscoring Doane 11-5 to win the match in straight sets.

Malory Dahl was the lone Prairie Wolf to reach double digits in kills as she tallied 11 with a .409 hitting percentage.Â
Alyssa Stanek added nine kills and hit an amazing .643 with no errors.Â
Alex Springman handed out 20 assists, while
Mackenzie Ashton had 11 digs.

Ashley Axmann and Emily Max both had eight kills to lead Doane.
