Nebraska Wesleyan made quick work of Dakota Wesleyan sweeping past the Tigers, 3-0, in a GPAC volleyball match Saturday afternoon (Oct. 19) at Snyder Arena in Lincoln.
NWU won in scores of 25-14, 25-14, 25-18 to improve to 17-6 overall, 7-4 in GPAC play. The Tiger remain winless in the GPAC at 0-11 and are 7-21 overall.
The Prairie Wolves pounded out 41 kills and hit .326 as a team in the victory. DWU had just 29 kills and was held to a hitting percentage of .092.
Alyssa Stanek had a big match to lead the Prairie Wolves. Stanek had 12 kills, six blocks and three service aces to account for 19 points in the match. She had just one hitting error in 19 attempts for a swing percentage of .579.
Bridget Bucher also had 12 kills for NWU.
Alex Springman handed out 30 assists and
Mackenzie Hite led the team with eight digs.
