Box Score Two second half goals by Central College gave the Dutch a 2-0 win over Nebraska Wesleyan in men's soccer action on Oct. 15 in Pella, Iowa.
NWU held Central scoreless in the first half as neither team was able to score a goal making the score 0-0 at intermission.
Central finally lit up the scoreboard in the 53rd minute as Spencer Boeyink chipped the ball over the goalkeeper's head for a 1-0 lead. The Dutch would score again in the 62nd minute as Mark Henstschel scored his second goal of the season.
Nebraska Wesleyan had 10 total shot attempts and five shots on goal, but continued their struggles offensively as they were shut out for the seventh time this season.
The Prairie Wolves fall to 3-9-1 overall and will return to GPAC play on Saturday with a trip to Sioux City, Iowa to face Briar Cliff University.
