2014: Split time as the teams starting second baseman … got the start at second base in 19 games, making 19 total appearances …  batted .143 on the season with nine hits … was 2-for-4 with two doubles against Midland on March 10 … also had two-hit games against Briar Cliff and Morningside … committed just four errors in the field.

2013: Saw action in 31 games making the start in 28 games at second base … was second on the team with two home runs … had four multi-RBI games on the season … went 2-3 with a HR at Sterling on opening day … was 3-3 with a double, triple and 2 RBI at Manhattan Christian … hit his other HR versus Northwestern on April 13.

2012: Played in 33 games as a freshman at third base … started eight games at third base … was used as a defensive replacement in final innings at third base in most games … had two-run single to give NWU the lead in win over Midland on April 26 … also had single and two RBI in win over Dakota Wesleyan in the GPAC Tournament … finished with eight RBI on the year … committed five errors at third base.

Academic: Business Administration major.

In High School: A two-year letterwinner in baseball at Lincoln East High School … played infield and pitcher for the Spartans … was honorable mention All-City as a senior in 2011 … a team captain … also lettered two years in football, serving as a team captain … led the Spartans to State Baseball Tournament in 2010 … named Academic All-State in baseball and football.

Personal: Born 10/22/92, son of Kevin and Julie Watteyne … brother Shane Watteyne is a freshman on the NWU baseball team.
