Head Coach Kyle Hunt is entering his Sixth season in 2025 as the Head men's and women's swimming coach. Kyle Hunt was named the men's and women's swimming head coach in May 2021 after he spent the 2020-2021 season as the interim head coach and the 2019-2020 season as an assistant coach for Nebraska Wesleyan. During the past two seasons, Hunt was instrumental in practice planning, training and recruiting which helped the Prairie Wolves break numerous pool and school records.
The 2023-24 season continued Hunt's success in the A-R-C for both the men's and women's teams. The men's team ran a perfect season with a 6-0 record in regular season duals. The men's team ended the season first at the American Rivers Conference Swim and Dive championship, and Hunt and his staff were awarded Coaching Staff of the Year. On the women's side, the Prairie Wolves finished runner-up at the American Rivers Conference Swim and Dive championship.Â
Hunt led both the men's and women's teams to runner-up places at the A-R-C Championships in his second season with the Prairie Wolves in 2022–2023.

In his first season with the Prairie Wolves in 2021-22, Hunt guided the men's (runner-up) and women's (third) teams to top-three finishes at the American Rivers Conference Swimming and Diving Invitational. Hunt was named Coach of the Meet and his lead male swimmer Cale Dice was named male swimmer of the meet.
Hunt came to NWU after serving as the head swimming coach at Lincoln Northeast High School from 2004-2019. As the head coach at Lincoln Northeast, his swimmers and divers broke 30 school records and he coached three state champions, four All-Americans and was named the 2015 Nebraska Swimming Coach of the Year. Hunt was also named Northeast High School Coach of the Year in 2010. He also had numerous Academic All-State and Academic All-Conference recipients.

In addition to his duties as head coach at Lincoln Northeast, Hunt was also the head swimming coach for Club Husker Swimming from 2014-2019. He started coaching Club swimming in 1996 and was a two-time Midwestern Swimming head All-Star coach, a two-time Midwestern Swimming head Zone coach and Midwestern Swimming Coach of the Year nominee.

During Hunt’s 24-year coaching career, he coached, trained and produced 116 All-Star, Central Zone and Region 8 Sectional qualifiers, three state champions, two NCAA II champions, and Olympic Trials qualifiers in 2004, 2008, 2012 and 2016.Â

A graduate of Lincoln East High School, Hunt swam for hall of fame coach Greg Fleming during his prep career with the Spartans. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Historical Studies from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2002.
Kyle is married to Tiffany and they have three children, Ava, Owen and Finn.Â
