Marisa Garver, a former pitcher for the Nebraska Wesleyan softball team, is in her first season as an assistant coach at her alma mater. She will assist with the Prairie Wolves pitching staff.
Garver completed her playing career in 2016 as a four-year letterwinner as a pitcher for the Prairie Wolves. She was named 2nd-Team All-GPAC as a senior in 2016, the second straight season she earned that recognition.
As the NWU No. 1 pitcher, Garver went 14-8 with a 2.20 ERA in 30 appearances in 2016 ranking 5th in the GPAC in ERA and 6th in wins. She ended her career with her name on 12 different NWU all-time pitching charts. Garver was named the AD3I All-Independent Pitcher of the Year in both 2015 and 2016.
