Jennie Harp

Jennie Harp is in her fifth season as an assistant softball coach at Nebraska Wesleyan University. Harp primarily works with the pitching staff. The pitching staff ERA placed 4th in conference for 2021 and placed 3rd in conference for 2022. Kailey Meyer was named A-R-C Pitcher of the Year and is the first person in program history to have four first-team all-conference honors after the team reached the NCAA Tournament for the first time in school history. The 2023 season included pitcher Elise Warneke being selected to the A-R-C First Team and the NFCA Third Team All-Region.
 
Harp comes to NWU after previously serving as the head softball coach at Pitt Community College in North Carolina from 2016-19.  Her team made back-to-back NJCAA DII World Series Appearances in 2017 and 2018.  During that time, she had four student-athletes receive All-America recognition, coached the NJCAA Region 10 Player of the Year and Region 10 Pitcher of the Year.  She had 11 players named first-team all-region performers.  Harp was named the NJCAA Region 10 Coach of the Year in 2017 and 2019.
 
Prior to Pitt C.C., Harp was an assistant coach at St. Andrews University (N.C.) for one season and was associate head coach at Richard Bland College (Va.) from 2013-15.
