Christy Heinzmann begins her second season as an assistant softball coach at Nebraska Wesleyan. She served as the pitching coach for the Prairie Wolves.
In her first year working with the NWU pitching staff, Heinzmann helped the Prairie Wolves to a 2.75 team ERA ranking 6th all-time in NWU history.
Heinzmann has been a pitching coach in the Lincoln area since 2007. She was a standout pitcher at Northwest Missouri State from 1987-91. Heinzmann still ranks in the top 10 in school history in appearances, innings pitched, wins, ERA and strikeouts.
She graduated from Northwest Missouri State in 1991 with a bachelor of science degree in business.
