2017-18: Became the first CoSIDA Academic All-American in NWU swimming history earning 3^rd-Team honors in the At-large division … earned Liberal Arts All-Championship team honors in six events for a second straight season … brought his career total to 17 LAC honors … swam on three different LAC championship relay teams, including the winning 200 Free, 400 Medley and 200 Medley relay teams … individual runner-up in the 200 IM at the Liberal Arts Championship … was part of 10 winning relay teams throughout the year … set school records in 200 Medley, 400 Medley and 400 Free Relay … won the 100 IM at the Grinnell Invite … opened the year by winning the 100 Free in dual against Simpson … in dual versus Loras was on three winning relay teams, won the 50 Free and placed 2^nd in the 200 Back … a CoSIDA Academic All-District selection … named to IIAC All-Academic Team.

2016-17: Earned Liberal Arts All-Championship honors in six different events … … finished third in the 200 IM and the 100 Fly at the championship meet … was on four different relay teams that placed in the top three at the Liberal Arts Championships … won four individual events throughout the season … at the Coe Dual was first in the 50 Free and 200 IM as well as the 400 Free relay … swam on four winning relay teams at the Pioneer Classic and won the 100 IM at the two-day event … set the school record in the 100 Free in time of 46.61 … was on three relay teams that set school records … named to the IIAC All-Academic team.

2015-16: Named to the Liberal Arts All-Championship team in five different events in his first season of swimming … placed 2^nd individually in the 200 IM and the 100 Fly at the Liberal Arts Championships … was 4^th in the 100 Free … earned All LAC honors in the 400 Free relay and 400 medley relay … won an individual event at every meet of the year … opened the year winning the 50 Free and 100 Free at Morningside dual … won the 100 Free at two-day Pioneer Classic … was the winner in the 50 Free.

Academic: Physics and Mathematics major.   

In High School: A four-year participant at the Nebraska State Swimming Championships … placed in four events as a senior at Lincoln Southwest HS … on state runner-up 200 and 400 free relay teams … placed 3^rd in the 200 IM and 4^th in the 100 Fly … had four top five finishes in his junior season … was 2^nd in the 200 IM … finished in the top seven in three events in 2013 … placed 8^th in the 200 medley relay as a freshman … a Scholastic All-American … earned Academic All-State and Academic All-Conference recognition.   

Personal: Born 5/19/97, son of Neal and Michelle Lyons … older sister Ericka was a member of the NWU women’s swim team from 2015-17.
