Braden Austin enters his first season as an assistant coach with the Prairie Wolves in 2026-27. Prior to joining the Nebraska Wesleyan coaching staff, Austin spent six seasons as a member of the York University soccer program.

Austin earned a Master of Arts in Organizational & Global Leadership with a concentration in Sports Administration from York University. He previously earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Sports Management.

As a player at York, Austin was a five-time Daktronics NAIA Men's Soccer Scholar-Athlete and five-time KCAC Men's Soccer Scholar-Athlete.

Austin began his coaching career as an assistant coach and goalkeeper coach with York High School Men's Soccer from 2025-26. He also holds a U.S. Soccer Grassroots Coaching License.

A native of Arlington, Texas, Austin began his youth playing career with Dallas Texans Soccer Club, FC Dallas and Texas Suns. He also represented the North Texas Olympic Development Program First Team at ODP Regionals on multiple occasions. Austin has been a certified U.S. Soccer Grassroots Referee since 2014.
