Coach Clouse

David Clouse

In spring of 2023, David Clouse joined the Men's golf program as an assistant coach at Nebraska Wesleyan University. 

Clouse's successful career began early on, as he was the State High School Champion in 1978. He went on to play college golf at Nebraska Wesleyan, where he earned All-American and Academic All-American honors in 1983. During his time at Nebraska Wesleyan, Clouse was also named to the GPAC All-Conference team in both 1982 and 1983.

After college, Clouse continued to excel on the course. He won five Nebraska State Amateur Championships and was named the Nebraska Amateur Player of the Year four times. Clouse was also named the Senior Amateur Player of the Year.

In addition to his state-level accomplishments, Clouse also played in nine USGA national championships and won 34 Nebraska Golf Association Points Tournaments. He was also a five-time Firethorn Club Champion.

Clouse's achievements in the sport have not gone unnoticed, as he was inducted into the Nebraska Golf Hall of Fame in 2008 and the Nebraska Wesleyan Hall of Fame in 2003.

As the Head Men's Golf Coach at Nebraska Wesleyan, Clouse brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team. His dedication to the sport and impressive track record make him an invaluable asset to the program.
