    Assistant Basketball Coach
Ryan Tegtmeier is in his second season as a member of the Prairie Wolves men’s basketball staff as an assistant coach.
 
In his first season assisting Coach Dale Wellman, Tegtmeier was part of the Prairie Wolves team that won the American Rivers Conference regular season and tournament championship.  He helped lead NWU to the second round of the NCAA III Tournament.
 
Tegtmeier spent the previous two seasons as the Head Boys Basketball Coach at Blue Hill High School.  In his last season, he led the team to the Nebraska Class D-2 State Tournament, the school’s first appearance since 1984.  In two seasons, he led Blue Hill to a 33-18 record, the most wins in a two-year period in school history.
 
He played college basketball at Morningside College from 2013-17 where he was a four-year starter for the Mustangs leaving as the 10th-leading scorer in program history with 1,349 points.  A three-time All-GPAC selection, he helped lead Morningside to two NAIA II National Tournament Appearances.
 
Tegtmeier currently lives in Lincoln and is a 6th Grade Social Studies/Science teacher at Schoo Middle School
