2015-16: Starting center for the Prairie Wolves for a second straight season … got the start in 28 of the 30 games … averaged 4.3 points and 3.1 rebounds per game … was third on the team with 66 assists … was 7^th in the GPAC in assist/turnover ratio at 2.54 … tied his season-high with 14 points on 7-9 shooting at the NAIA II National Tournament …pulled down season-high eight rebounds in same game …  also scored 14 points in win at Mount Marty on Feb. 20 making 7-8 on field goals … shot 58.0 percent from the field.

2014-15: Started 22 games and played in 25 at forward in his first season after transferring from Northwest Missouri State … averaged 6.1 points and 3.3 rebounds … led the team in field goal percentage shooting 67.3% from the floor … made his first eight shots of the year … reached double figures in four games … had a season-high 13 points going 6-7 from the field in win at Hastings on Jan. 7 … scored 12 points in win over Dordt … was a perfect 5-5 from the floor for 11 points in win over Mount Marty on Feb. 21 … pulled down season-high 11 rebounds at #3 Dakota Wesleyan.

Academic: Psychology major.

High School: A 2^nd-Team Class B All-State selection at Beatrice High School … a two-year starter and four-year letterwinner for the Orangemen … helped the team to four State Tournament appearances including a State Runner-up and two third place finishes … averaged 14 points and eight rebounds per game … an All-State honorable mention selection in football.

Personal: Born 4/8/93, son of Brent and Kristin Ruiz … played 12 games at Northwest Missouri State as a redshirt freshman in 2013-14.
