Biography

2021: Played in eight games for the Prairie Wolves... collected the 14th most tackles of any Prairie Wolf defender with 23 stops, including 10 solo tackles, and 1.5 TFLs... set a career high with six tackles with five solo against Eureka in the season opener.

Spring 2021: Played in the lone game of the Spring season for the Prairie Wolves... recorded four total tackles in the game against Central College on Apr. 10... Spring season limited to one game due to the COVID-19 Global Health Pandemic.

2020: No Fall season due to the COVID-19 Global Health Pandemic.

2019: Played every game as a junior to earn his first varsity letter … finished the season with seven total tackles … a key player on kick and punt coverage for the Prairie Wolves special teams units … made two solo tackles in win over Illinois College in week two … also had two tackles at Central College on Oct. 26. 

Academic: Exercise Science major. 

In High School: Earned All-State recognition in football at Johnson-Brock HS … was also an All-District and All-Conference selection … averaged 19 tackles per game as a senior … four-year varsity letterwinner and starter … also earned four letters in track & field … member of National Honor Society.  

Personal: Born 5/4/99, son of Troy and Krystal Nickels.
