2016: Was a starter on the defensive line for first three games before suffering season-ending injury … missed the remaining seven games … recorded four total tackles against McPherson and Wartburg … had two tackles against Illinois Wesleyan … ended the year with 10 total stops.

2015: Started all 10 games on the NWU defensive line as a sophomore … finished the season with 39 total tackles, including 3.0 tackles-for-loss … had a season-high eight tackles in win over Midland … made five solo tackles against his former team Briar Cliff on homecoming … a NAIA/Daktronics Scholar Athlete … also a Pflieger-Olson Scholar Athlete.

Academic: Economics major.  

In High School: A three-year starter and four-year letterwinner in football at Grand Island Central Catholic HS … named 1st-Team All-District and 1st-Team All-Conference as a senior … selected to the All-Heartland Super Squad 2nd-Team … was 2nd-Team All-District as a junior … helped lead the Crusaders to four state playoff appearances … a member of the National Honor Society.

Personal: Born 10/7/1994, son of Kyle and Betty Holen … transferred to NWU after one semester at Briar Cliff University.
