2016: Began the year as a starter at linebacker before suffering an injury in the opening game … missed six straight games in the middle of the year … returned to appear in the final three games … ended the year with four total tackles … knocked a pass in the air to cause an interception in the season finale versus Loras.

2015: Started every game at linebacker for the Prairie Wolves in his second season … finished the year third on the team in tackles with 66 total stops … had 5.5 tackles-for-loss and led the team with four quarterback hurries … opened the year with season-high 10 total tackles in upset of #21 Friends … recorded nine total tackles in two other games … broke up two passes from his linebacker spot.

2014: In his first season at NWU played in seven games at linebacker … missed the early part of the year with injury … steadily improved and became a key player in the final games of the season … had season-high nine tackles with 2.0 tackles-for-loss in win over Midland … ended the year with eight tackles including five solo stops at Hastings … finished season with 24 total tackles including 3.5 TFLs … recorded an interception in upset win over #19 Dakota Wesleyan … also saw time on the NWU special teams unit.

Academic: Sport Management major.

In High School: A three-year starter in football at Ashland-Greenwood HS … led the team with 107 total tackles as a senior … named honorable mention All-State in football as a senior … also participated in wrestling and baseball.

Personal: Born 6/21/1995, son of Mike and Marti Beard … transferred to NWU after spending two semesters at Chadron State College.
