2012: Started all 10 games at safety as a junior … was named First-Team CoSIDA Academic All-America … also First-Team Academic All-District … was second on the team with nine pass breakups … had 40 total tackles to rank sixth on the team … recovered a fumble and had two TFL’s in win over Dordt … had 4.5 TFLs on the season from the defensive backfield … broke up three passes in opening win over Saint Mary playing with a cast on his hand … a NAIA Scholar Athlete and Pflieger-Olson Scholar Athlete.

2011: Earned his first varsity football letter in 2011 as a sophomore … played in nine games as a member of the NWU secondary … was a valuable player at cornerback for the Prairie Wolves … had eight total tackles on the year … had season-high three tackles in season-opening win over Saint Mary on Sept. 3 … a Pflieger-Olson award winner.

Academic: Accounting major

In High School: A three-year letterwinner in football at Falls City High School … led the Tigers to two state playoff appearances … a two-time Academic All-State selection … averaged 41 yards per punt as a junior … a four-year letterwinner in basketball earning Academic All-State … also lettered four years in track & field … a member of National Honor Society.

Personal: Born 8/10/1992, son of Jim and Mary Jo Huettner … brother Cord is a freshman on the NWU football team.
