Nebraska Wesleyan’s all-time leading passer Tyler Francis begins his fourth season as the quarterbacks coach for the Prairie Wolves.
During the 2017 season, Francis coached Jonathan Curti to earn 2nd-Team All-IIAC recognition as he broke Francis’ previous school record for passing yards in a season. He was also a valuable member of the offensive coaching staff that orchestrated the top total offense team in school history.
As a three-year starter at quarterback from 2012-14, Francis set four NWU school records and still holds record for career passing yards (6,053) record for career completions (559). He was a three-time honorable mention All-GPAC selection at quarterback.
The Lincoln, Neb., native graduated in May 2015 from Nebraska Wesleyan with a degree in elementary/special education. He is a teacher at Culler Middle School in Lincoln. Francis is married to Lindsey Thege.
