Rod Jones

Rod Jones is in his eighth season of his second stint as an assistant football coach at Nebraska Wesleyan.  Jones coached for three years at NWU from 2006-08 as an offensive line assistant.  He returned to coach the offensive line once again in 2015.
           
Coach Jones has had an offensive lineman earn All-Conference in each of his six seasons, including two 1st-Team All-Conference selections.
           
For five years, Jones was the offensive and defensive line coach at Platteview High School.  He helped the team to a State Runner-up finish in 2011.  From 2014-15, he worked as the special teams coordinator and offensive line coach for the Omaha Beef in Indoor Football.
           
Jones served as head football coach at Victory Christian High School from 1996-2000 and was an assistant coach at Central Christian High School from 1994-95.
           
A Glenwood, Iowa, native, Jones attended Glenwood High School before heading to Saint Xavier University in Chicago, Ill.
           
He resides in Omaha, Neb., with his wife Paige and their children Davy, Kyler, Dylan, Daysha, Catalina and Parker.  He works as the director of transportation at Louisville Public Schools.
