Paul Harris returned to the Nebraska Wesleyan football program in 2016 for his second stint as an assistant coach. He is in his fifth straight season of coaching the Prairie Wolves defensive line since coming back to the NWU coaching staff.
While working with the Prairie Wolves defensive line he has had three players earn All-Conference recognition.
Harris spent 10 years at Nebraska Wesleyan from 1995-2004 as an assistant coach for the NWU defensive line. He joined the NWU coaching staff after graduating with a bachelor’s degree in physical education from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1993. The Waterbury, Conn., native spent three years in the UNL football program.
In 1991, he was an undergraduate assistant coach working with the defensive secondary. For the 1992 and 1993 seasons, Harris was a student worker, assisting the Cornhusker coaching staff with film breakdown and scouting.
Harris and his wife, Nichole, have a son Christian (a member of the NWU baseball team) and a daughter, Reagan.
