Mike Johnson begins his sixth season as an assistant football coach at Nebraska Wesleyan. Johnson serves as a defensive line coach for the Prairie Wolves defense.
In his tenure with the Prairie Wolves he has helped coach three All-Conference defensive linemen.
Johnson came to NWU from Waverly High School where he has served as the head coach for 15 seasons. He has 36 years of high school coaching experience with stops at Waverly (15 years), Goodland, Kansas (12 years), Giltner (4 years) and Grant (4 years).
Johnson and his wife Rochelle have one daughter Danielle.
