Former Nebraska Wesleyan football player Corey Jones begins his fourth season as an assistant football coach at his alma mater. Jones will coach wide receivers in the Prairie Wolves offense.
As the wide receivers coach, Jones has coached two receivers that rank in the NWU top ten for career touchdown receptions.
Jones, a four-year letterwinner at slot for the Prairie Wolves from 2012-15, finished his career with 71 receptions. As a punt returner, he owns the 10th best season average. He was also a member of the NWU track & field team as a sprinter.
Jones graduated from Lincoln Northeast High School. He earned his degree in mathematics from Nebraska Wesleyan in 2016. He is currently a Mathematics teacher at Lincoln High School.
