            Cody Eiler, an All-American defensive back for the Prairie Wolves, will remain within the NWU football program this season serving as a defensive assistant coach.
            Eiler was a four-year letterwinner from 2009-12 for the Prairie Wolves playing defensive back and return specialist.  As a senior in 2012, Eiler was First-Team All-GPAC at cornerback leading the team with six interceptions.  He also was Third-Team All-American by the Beyond Sports Network.  Eiler was 2^nd-Team All-GPAC as a punt returner and honorable mention as a kick returner.
            The O’Neill, Neb., native was 2^nd-Team All-American as a return specialist in 2011 and also earned CoSIDA Academic All-America honors.  He finished his career third in kick return average (26.1) and sixth in punt return average (12.7) on the NWU all-time charts.
            Eiler earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from NWU in May 2013.
