Caleb Armstrong enters his third season as an assistant football coach at his alma mater. Armstrong will serve as a linebackers coach and special teams coordinator this season, after being a defensive assistant the past two years. He also is taking on a more prominent role in recruiting on the NWU football staff in 2017.
A former offensive lineman for the Prairie Wolves, Armstrong earned four varsity letters in football at NWU from 2010-13. He was a two-year starter at center in 2012-13 and also served as a part time starter at offensive guard in his first two seasons. As a senior in 2013, Armstrong was named honorable mention All-GPAC.
The Papillion, Neb., native graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan in May 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Athletic Administration at Concordia University. Armstrong is married to MacKenzie Ashton, a former NWU volleyball player.
