2018: Started all 30 games he appeared in as a junior … made 20 starts at second base and 10 starts at third base … led the team with 37 hits, including a team-high 13 doubles and 2 triples … ended the season batting .322 with 17 RBI … tied for 6^th in the conference in doubles … had a team best 10-game hitting streak from April 5-April 24 … during the streak raised his batting average from .269 to .352 … in three game set versus Simpson had six hits with two doubles and two RBI … on April 28 vs Luther had two hits in both games of the doubleheader with a double … against SUNY Poly on March 5 was 3-3 with a double, 2 RBI and 2 stolen bases … named to IIAC All-Academic team.

2017: Started 32 games at second base for the Prairie Wolves as a sophomore … ended the year with a .222 batting average with 24 total hits … finished the season on a five-game hitting streak … raised his batting average seventy points the final month … hit a 3-run HR versus Central on April 18 … had four multi-hit games on the season … went 3-8 with a double in series versus Simpson … named to IIAC All-Academic team.

2016: A 1^st-Team AD3I All-Independent selection at second base in his first season … was named the AD3I Rookie-of-the-Year … led the Prairie Wolves offense in hits (41), RBI (34) and doubles (8) … started 39 games at second base as a freshman … earned AD3I Player of the Week on March 15 for his play during spring break … batted .593 with 16 hits on the week getting a hit in eight games during the trip … had at least two hits in six of eight games …had team-high 13 multi-hit and eight multi-RBI games … drove in 11 RBI with five hits in doubleheader at McPherson on Feb. 27 … in doubleheader vs Iowa Wesleyan went 6-for-7 with five RBI …  hit a HR, a double and drove in four RBI against Doane on April 23.

Academic: Accounting major.  

In High School: A three-year letterwinner in baseball at Elkhorn South HS … a two-time honorable mention All-Conference selection … set a school record for batting average … played all four infield positions for the Storm … led Elkhorn South to a third place finish at the 2015 State Tournament.

Personal: Born 6/6/97, son of Brad and Tracy Wintertein … father played football at NWU and mother played volleyball at NWU.
