Tanner Soderberg begins his third season as an assistant baseball coach at Nebraska Wesleyan in 2016.
Soderberg spent five years coaching with several of the top area select baseball teams including the Lincoln Rebels, Lincoln Blackhawks and Nebraska Diamond Dawgs. While working with the select teams, Soderberg has taken the teams across the United States playing other top baseball programs across the country.
The Wakefield, Neb., native was a player on three state championship teams in Wakefield. Soderberg played shortstop leading the team to four state tournament appearances.
He graduated from Wayne State College in 2010 with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a coaching endorsement.Â
Soderberg is currently a third grade teacher at Lakeview Elementary School.
