Nick Zawacki is in his fifth season as an assistant baseball coach at Nebraska Wesleyan. He serves as the pitching coach and be the Prairie Wolves strength coach. In his tenure with the Prairie Wolves, he has coached five All-Conference pitchers.
Zawacki came to NWU from Dakota Wesleyan where he was the pitching coach in 2012. While at DWU he coached the GPAC Pitcher of the Year and multiple All-Conference pitchers. He also served as pitching coach at Minnesota-Crookston in the 2011 season.
He played three seasons of collegiate baseball for Siena Heights University and one season at University of Minnesota-Crookston. In 2009 he played in the Boise Summer League where he earned All-Star honors for the Boise Owls. He continues to play for the Lincoln Diablos of the Nebraska Baseball Association.
During his playing and coaching career, Zawacki mentored under former University of Michigan Head Coach and 14-year Major League Baseball veteran Geoff Zahn at the Master Pitching Institute in Ann Arbor, Mich.
Zawacki, a native of Howell, Mich., currently works at Nebraska Book Company. He and his wife Megan reside in Lincoln.
