In November 2022, Eric Ignatowski became the baseball program's 11th head coach at Nebraska Wesleyan University. Previously, Ignatowski was the Head Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at Millikan University for the past 10 seasons.
The Prairie Wolves had a 14–26 record in 2023, including a 5–19 mark in American Rivers competition. Sophomore Tyson Romero was also named 2nd Team All-Conference.Â
Over the course of Ignatowski's ten seasons with the Millikan program, the Big Blue won the CCIW Tournament Championship (2021). He then steered Millikan to its best regular season result in school history in 2022. Ignatowski also coached 25 Big Blue players that were named All-Conference.
Prior to his time at Millikan, Ignatowski was the head coach for the Park Ridge Padres and Des Plaines Indians in the Metro Collegiate Summer League from 2012-2014, after joining Eureka College as an assistant coach in 2011. He was a four-year member of the baseball program at Concordia University Chicago and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science in 2011.Â
