CSC Academic All-Americans

Nebraska Wesleyan University ranks among the all-time leaders in the entire nation, regardless of division (NCAA Division I, II, III and NAIA) with 128 student athletes who have won 194 CSC Academic All-America awards between them. Five of those student-athletes were named Academic All-American of the Year in respective sport. Most recently, Cooper Cook was selected as the 2017-18 NCAA Division III Overall Academic All-American of the Year.

NWU ranks thirteenth among all schools, regardless of division, and NWU ranks sixth among NCAA III institutions. Since 2000, NWU has produced 129 CSC Academic All-Americans, which is 15th in the nation. The Prairie Wolves men's track & field program is tied for sixth in the nation, and the women's track & field program is tied for sixth, as two NWU teams appear in the top ten nationally in their respective sports. Nebraska Wesleyan has had at least one Academic All-American for 41 straight years dating back to the 1983-84 school year. 

During the 2024-25 school year, Nebraska Wesleyan had three athletes earn CSC Academic All-America recognition. Zach Weis (men's soccer) and Lyndsey Roth (softball) were named a CSC First Team Academic All-American. Avery Decker earned Second Team Academic All-American honors after winning here javelin National Championship in 2025. Weis, Roth, and Decker all earned their first Academic All-American honors of their careers. 

To be considered for the award, student athletes must be sophomore status or above, maintain a minimum 3.5 cumulative grade-point average, be a team starter or key reserve.
