2014: Among the team leaders in total tackles as a junior … played in 10 games and was a starter at linebacker in seven of the games … finished the year with 67 total tackles, including 2.5 tackles-for-loss and a QB sack … tied for the team lead with three forced fumbles … recorded at least eight tackles in each of the final five games … had a career-high 11 tackles with 1.5 TFL’s, a QB sack, forced fumble and interception in win over Midland … interception against Midland came on final play of game to seal the victory … forced a fumble that was recovered for TD against Dakota Wesleyan … a NAIA/Daktronics Scholar Athlete and Pflieger-Olson Scholar Athlete.

2013: Appeared in every game as a sophomore to earn another varsity letter … played as a backup linebacker … was on majority of the Prairie Wolves special teams units … finished season with six total tackles … had two tackles with 0.5 tackles-for-loss in the win over Midland on Nov. 9 … also had two stops at Concordia  … named a Pflieger-Olson Scholar Athlete.

2012: Earned a varsity football letter in his first season with the Prairie Wolves … played in five games on the year … was a valuable member of the NWU special teams … recorded two tackles on special teams.

Academic: Exercise Science major.

In High School: A two-year starter in football at Waverly H.S. … named EMC All-Conference … was All-District in football … had 78 total tackles as a senior … Academic All-State and Academic All-Conference … lettered four years in track & field … student athlete lifter of the year … member of National Honor Society.

Personal: Born 7/25/93, son of Jim and Becky McGill … younger brother Grant McGill is a freshman on the NWU football team this season.
