2014: Was an All-GPAC honorable mention selection at linebacker as a junior … also selected honorable mention All-Nebraska by the World Herald … led the Prairie Wolves in total tackles with 73 in eight games … ranked 4^th in the GPAC in tackles per game (9.1) … had four games with double digit tackles … had season-high 12 tackles in win over Briar Cliff … recorded an interception and returned it 25 yards for a TD in win over Chargers … missed two games in October due to injury … returned from injury and had 11 total stops in win over #19 Dakota Wesleyan … began the season with 11 tackles including seven solo tackles at #8 Tabor … named a Pflieger-Olson Scholar Athlete.

2013: Worked his way into the starting lineup as a linebacker during his sophomore season … played in eight games, making the start in four of those contests … was sidelined at the end of the year with injury … had 43 total tackles with 4.0 tackles-for-loss … made 12 total tackles with 1.5 TFL at Concordia on Oct. 12 … had seven total tackles in upset win at Northwestern on Sept. 28 … first start of career was homecoming versus Briar Cliff on Sept. 21 where he made six total tackles.

2012: Earned his first varsity football letter by playing in five games as a freshman … missed the final part of the season due to injury … had five total tackles as a backup linebacker and member of the NWU special teams unit … had two tackles in overtime loss to Northwestern.

Academic: Business Administration major.

In High School: An All-State selection in football at David City Aquinas … led the Monarchs to the Class C-2 State Championship as a senior … earned All-District and All-Conference recognition … set the school record with 624 total defensive points … recorded 311 career tackles with 50 TFL … also All-State honorable mention in basketball … a two-year State qualifier in track & field placing 7^th in the 300 hurdles … Academic All-State … member of National Honor Society.

Personal: Born 8/15/1993, son of Chris and Julie Vandenberg … brother Kelby was an All-GPAC punter on the NWU football team from 2011-13.
