2017: Started every game at defensive end for the Prairie Wolves … ranked second in the IIAC with three fumble recoveries … notched five tackles with a quarterback sack and a fumble recovery versus Loras on Sept. 30 … had a season-high seven tackles against Dubuque on Oct. 14 … was credited with two quarterback hurries on the year … named to IIAC All-Academic team.

2016: Worked his way into the starting lineup along the defensive line … played in all ten games, getting the start in seven games … finished the year with 27 total tackles, including 2.5 tackles-for-loss and a quarterback sack … was credited with two quarterback hurries … had a season-high eight tackles in win at Luther College on Oct. 1 … made four solo tackles versus Central … had four tackles, with one TFL against nationally-ranked Dubuque.  

Academic: Biology major. 

In High School: A two-year starter in football at Grand Island High School … an honorable mention Class A All-State selection … named to G.I. Independent First-Team defense … played on three state playoff teams, including two semifinal appearances … averaged six tackles per game as a senior … lettered four years in track & field … was the GISH valedictorian … member of National Honor Society.

Personal: Born 7/12/1996, son of Tom and Tami Bednar … transferred to NWU after starting his career at Morningside College.
