LINCOLN, Neb. – Nebraska Wesleyan baseball's
Easton Johnson was named the American Rivers Conference Baseball Position Player of the Week, it was announced by the league office on Monday. The senior third baseman from Gilbert, Iowa batted .591 (13-for-22) across five games last week, including a pair of road series at Dubuque and Buena Vista. His 13 hits led the team and he paced the Prairie Wolves with 12 RBI and nine runs scored. Johnson had an extra-base hit in four of the five games, finishing the week with three doubles, two triples and a home run. He added a historic performance in game two at Dubuque, going 6-for-6 with four RBI and two runs scored in a 13-11 Prairie Wolf victory, a mark that stands as the Nebraska Wesleyan single-game hits record since at least 2000.
The Prairie Wolves are back in action on Tuesday, April 21 at 6:00 p.m. against Buena Vista University.
