McLaughlin's Explosive Performance Earns Him A-R-C Male Athlete of the Week Honors

LINCOLN, Neb. – Joey McLaughlin, a junior wide receiver for the Nebraska Wesleyan Prairie Wolves, has been named the American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending September 28, 2025. McLaughlin's outstanding performance on the field electrified the crowd at Abel Stadium and propelled the Prairie Wolves to their first win and conference victory of the season.

McLaughlin was a dominant force in Nebraska Wesleyan's decisive 44-7 victory over Luther College on Saturday. He hauled in an impressive ten receptions for a total of 189 yards and three touchdowns. His scoring plays came from 42 yards, 11 yards, and 44 yards out, showcasing his ability to make big plays and stretch the field.

The junior from Colorado Springs, Colorado, was instrumental in the Prairie Wolves' offensive explosion, as the team amassed 526 total yards, their best offensive output in more than three years. McLaughlin's performance not only secured the win but also provided a significant boost to the team's confidence as they moved to 1-3 overall and 1-1 in the A-R-C.

This is McLaughlin's first A-R-C Weekly award of his career.
