Lincoln, NE - Nebraska Wesleyan is set to take on Luther College in its first home American Rivers Conference game of the season.

Kick off for Saturday's game is set for 1:00 p.m. The game will be played at Abel Stadium, in Lincoln, Nebraska. Nebraska Wesleyan will live stream the game and carry live stats.

SCOUTING NEBRASKA WESLEYAN
Nebraska Wesleyan enters Saturday looking to earn its first win of the season after an 0-3 start. The Prairie Wolves were defeated by Coe College in their A-R-C opener last weekend, 62-14. The Prairie Wolf offense averages 250.7 yards and 11.33 points per game. Nebraska Wesleyan runs a balanced offense, with 98 rushing and 95 passing attempts. Through three games, NWU has put up 95.7 yards per game on the ground, and throwing for 155 yards per game. Both Connor White and Keaton Erdmann have seen action at quarterback this season, with White throwing for a team best 299 yards, and Erdmann leading the team with two touchdown passes. Joey McLaughlin and Corbin Horner have emerged as two of NWU's top receiving threats, combining for 226 yards and two touchdowns. In the running game, Trystin Myers and Nathan Athouris average 4.5 and 4.0 yards per carry, with Myers rushing for a team best 179 yards. Defensively, NWU has allowed 39.67 points per game, and 408 yards per game. Hunter Hanke has recorded a team high 21 tackles, while Julius German and Elan Pittman have each forced one fumble. 

CELEBRATING 25 YEARS
Nebraska Wesleyan is proud to celebrate the 25th anniversary of 2000 GPAC football championship team. The Prairie Wolves posted an 8-3 record, while going 6-2 in conference play. The Black and Gold earned three ranked wins, including a 22-18 win over arch-rival #18 Doane College. Quarterback Troy Longe led the way with 2110 passing yards, and 23 touchdowns, seven of which were thrown to receiver Josh Beaver. Roy Jacobson led a punishing rushing attack, totaling 693 yards and six touchdowns. Defensively the Prairie Wolves picked off 13 passes, and recovered three fumbles, with Noland Urban recording 170 total tackles. To date, Nebraska Wesleyan is the lone team in the city of Lincoln to win a conference championship in the 21st century.

HEAD COACH BRIAN KELLER
Coach Brian Keller is in his 30th season at the helm of Nebraska Wesleyan football in 2025, continuing a legendary run as the winningest coach in program history. A Nebraska Wesleyan graduate and former player, Keller has led his alma mater since 1996, compiling a career record of 132-153. 

SCOUTING LUTHER COLLEGE
In their final season in the American Rivers Conference, Luther College is off to an 0-3 start after a 63-26 loss to Central last weekend. The Norse average 9.67 points and 211.3 yards per game. Defensively, Luther allows 43.33 points per game and allows 447.7 yards per game. Joe Troche is in his third year as the head coach at Luther College

SERIES HISTORY AGAINST LUTHER COLLEGE
Saturday will mark the ninth meeting between Nebraska Wesleyan and Luther. The Prairie Wolves are 5-3 all time against the Norse.
