KANSASVILLE, Wis. – The Nebraska Wesleyan University men's golf team delivered a dominant performance at the Midwest Region Classic, capturing the team championship with an impressive 6-under par team score at Brighton Dale Links on Friday, September 19, 2025. Junior Harrison Weddell led the charge, securing his first collegiate individual title with a stellar 3-under 69.
The Prairie Wolves women's team, competing against a strong field, finished 32nd in the tournament as they continue to build experience early in the fall season.
What was originally scheduled as a two-day tournament was condensed to a single day of competition after day two was canceled due to inclement weather. Tournament officials made the decision after only half the field had recorded scores on the second day, resulting in those partial results being discarded and the event being officially scored as a one-day tournament.
MEN'S TOURNAMENT BREAKDOWN
The Prairie Wolves men showcased their depth and talent throughout the one-day event, placing four golfers in the top 15 individually to secure the team championship.
Weddell's breakthrough performance included six birdies and just three bogeys on the challenging Brighton Dale Links layout.
Sophomore Jacob Cosimano continued his strong fall campaign with an impressive 2-under 70, finishing tied for third individually. Cosimano recorded six birdies on the day, including three birdies on holes 1-5 to help secure the team title.
Senior Brayden Schram added a 1-under 71 to finish tied for sixth, while junior Travis Tillford shot an even-par 72, placing tied for 12th overall. Senior Jackson Lapour rounded out the lineup with a 78.
The Prairie Wolves' team score of 282 (-6) gave them a ten-stroke victory over second-place Augustana College, with DePauw finishing third at six over par.
