HOW IT HAPPENED
1st half: After forcing a punt on Nebraska Wesleyan's opening drive, Coe's offense wasted no time, scoring the first touchdown on a 75 yard touchdown pass on second and 11. The two teams went on to trade punts before Nebraska Wesleyan embarked on a long 11 play, 70 yard touchdown drive that was punctuated by a 29 yard touchdown pass from Keaton Erdmann to Joey McLaughlin which tied the game at seven. From there Coe took control, scoring touchdowns on their next two possessions to go ahead 20-7. After forcing a punt, Coe's offense was once again driving down the field, before Julius German forced Jeron Senters to fumble. However, any potential momentum was quickly dashed as Erdmann's first pass of the ensuing drive was picked off by Coe. The Kohawks took advantage of the turnover and scored to go up 27-7. Coe would go on to stop NWU on their ensuing possession. The Kohawks would cap off the first half with a six play, 66 yard drive, which made the score 34-7 at halftime.

2nd half: The Kohawks continued to pull away in the third quarter with a pair of touchdowns to go ahead 48-7. The Kohawks extended their lead to 55-7 in the fourth, before Drake Ferris punched in a one yard touchdown run to cap off an eight play 68 yard drive.
