ABOUT NEBRASKA WESLEYAN
Friday night will mark Nebraska Wesleyan's first competition of the 2025 season. The Prairie Wolves enter the year with a slew of returning talent. This includes
Delaney Vacek, who placed 29th at last season's A-R-C championship meet, along with
Thomas Vasquez, who placed 31st. Overall, the Black and Gold return 28 men and women from last year's team, and they, along with a 21 person recruiting class, seem poised to climb the ladder in the American Rivers Conference.
HEAD COACH CHAD BERENS
Chad Berens is in his third year as head coach for Nebraska Wesleyan cross country. Last year, he helpedÂ
Gabby Thomas earn her third All-Conference honor. Prior to joining NWU, Berens served as the director of track and field and cross country operations at the University of Utah.
NEBRASKA WESLEYAN CROSS COUNTRY TRADITION
Nebraska Wesleyan has a rich cross country tradition. The men's team has captured 22 conference championships, while the women's team has won 15. Nationally, the men have finished in the top 10 nine times, and the women have placed in the top 20 nine times.
