LINCOLN, Neb. – The American Rivers Conference announced its all-conference baseball awards for the 2025 season, with Nebraska Wesleyan securing seven total selections across second team and honorable mention recognition.
Senior Aaron Chazin and Junior Easton Johnson headline the Prairie Wolves' contingent with second-team honors, while five additional players received honorable mention recognition.
Second Team Selections
Center fielder Aaron Chazin established himself as one of the conference's premier outfielders, hitting .330 with 38 runs scored and a pair of stolen bases. The senior from Sylmar, California registered a .373 on-base percentage while anchoring NWU's defense with zero error in 114 chances for a perfect fielding percentage.
Third baseman Easton Johnson powered the Prairie Wolves' offense with a .324 batting average, 10 doubles and a team high 41 RBIs. The Gilbert, Iowa native started the year with a 10-game hit streak and posted 19 multi-hit performances, including a 3-for-5 outing with two home runs and five RBIs against Loras on March 23.
Honorable Mention Honorees
Second baseman Carter Betts emerged as a defensive cornerstone while hitting .317 with 41 runs scored and led the nation with 12 triples. The senior turned 16 double plays and registered a .957 fielding percentage.
Left fielder Tommy Fiocchi batted .292 with 11 doubles and 23 RBIs, including a 4-RBI performance against Buena Vista on March 28. The senior also led the team with a .500 slugging percentage.
Owen Duckworth made his presence felt both on the mound and at first base. The sophomore posted a 2-5 record with a 3.46 ERA in seven starts while batting .300 with three RBIs.
Senior pitcher Robbie Ross anchored the rotation with a 2-3 record and 4.67 ERA. The right-hander struck out 37 batters in 54.0 innings, including a season-high eight strikeouts against Simpson on April 15.
Brady Bell excelled in a relief role while also starting nearly every game at first base. The senior recorded a 1-0 record with a school record eight saves and a 3.55 ERA on the mound while hitting .251 with 21 RBIs.
Nebraska Wesleyan finished the season 25-21 overall with a 10-14 mark in conference play, narrowly sneaking into the conference tournament as a six seed and making the conference championship game before falling to Buena Vista.
The seven all-conference selections represent the program's highest total since joining the A-R-C.
